Zaheeruddin Babar Thaheem

H.E. Zaheeruddin Babar Thaheem is serving as Pakistan’s 5th Ambassador to The Kingdom of Cambodia, he assumed charge on 7th January 2022.

This is Ambassador Z Babar Thaheem’s first posting as an Ambassador as he has previously worked in the corporate sector in Pakistan & Australia.

After completing his early education in Pakistan, he moved to the United States for his tertiary education where he focused on studying Accountancy and graduated in 2007. He continued his education in Australia in the field of Commerce.

He commenced his professional career with Habib Bank Pvt Ltd in Pakistan as a Corporate banker and later moving towards Global Treasury as Treasury Analyst.

Subsequently, he worked within the digital transformation industry as a Product Owner for Harvey Norman In Australia for 8 years. He was responsible for completing and contributing towards numerous digital projects during his tenure at Harvey Norman he closely worked on projects in Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines.

Currently, Zaheeruddin Babar Thaheem sits on the board of The Truth International, a research and analysis firm, as a Director.

He is a sports and car enthusiast and is currently learning to play golf.
