Pakistan Naval Ship “SAIF” (PNS SAIF) docked at the port of Casablanca on a port call on from 17th to 20th September 2018, a goodwill visit testifying the existing brotherly relations between Morocco and Pakistan.

Upon arrival at the Port of Casablanca, the ship was received by Moroccan Navy Officers, officers and other officials from the Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat along with the children of Moroccan and Pakistani Families.

As a goodwill gesture towards the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco, students, families and general public were given the opportunity to visit the ship.

His Excellency Mr. Nadir Chaudhri, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Morocco and the Commander of the ship Captain Shahid Wasif held a Reception/Dinner in honor of Moroccan dignitaries on 18th September 2018, which was attended by diplomatic community, Defense Attaches, Moroccan officials and Pakistani families.

It is noteworthy here that the frigate, named after the Muslim Commander Khalid Ibn Al Walid, was commissioned on 15th September 2010 and first set sail on 25th September 2010. Today the vessel is part of Pakistan Navy’s fleet. It is equipped with state-of-the-art robust and modern weapons, sensors and houses an anti-submarine helicopter onboard.
