Presentation of credentials by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey

Pakistan’s newly appointed envoy to Turkey, Ambassador Tariq Azizuddin presented his credentials of appointment, as Pakistan’s Ambassador extra-ordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey, to the Turkish President, Mr. Abdullah Gul in an impressive and elegant ceremony held at the Presidential Palace.

Ambassador Tariq Azizuddin conveyed the messages of good wishes from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the Turkish President, the Government and people, and briefed him on important issues of mutual concern.

President Abdullah Gul expressed extremely warm sentiments of friendship between Turkey and Pakistan and assured the Ambassador that Turkey will stand by Pakistan in its endeavours towards achieving peace in the region and realizing the goal of a stronger and prosperous Pakistan.
