President National Assembly of Republic of Niger Received Pakistani Head of Mission

The President National Assembly congratulated the Head of Mission on his appointment and welcomed. He exchanged Eid greetings. The Head of Mission Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey delivered Eid card of the Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan. He expressed his gratitude and wished heartiest Eid Mubarak to the speaker.

Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey briefed the Speaker about the activities of Pakistan Embassy. The Speaker appreciated and thanked him for the donation of rice in Ramzan. They discussed cooperation between parliaments of two brotherly countries. The President National Assembly suggested that there may be bilateral cooperation agreement. He desired to visit to Pakistan between July and December 2020. The Head of Mission assured him that Pakistan Embassy would transmit the message to his counterpart. He also liked to exchange delegations of parliamentarians  to learn from the experience of each other. The President suggested that Pakistan Embassy can depend on his institution for public diplomacy activities.The Assembly Secretariat will fully cooperate and assist the Embassy. The Head of Mission was assured that despite no mandate to interfere in administrative matters, the assembly will influence various ministries to have increased trade and Commerce with Pakistan. The President also informed the Envoy that investment from Pakistan in the field of agriculture, dairy, textile, halal meat, energy, health and education would be welcomed. He tasked the Niger Pakistan Parliamentary Group to facilitate in this regard. The Head of Mission praised him for proactive approach for the benefit of people and thanked for his time. The President also appreciated the Envoy for new approach towards bilateral cooperation and assured his full support.
