To facilitate the Pakistani citizens abroad during COVID-19 Pandemic, Government of Pakistan has decided to allow the Embassies to manually extend the expired Machine Readable Passports for a further period of one year. Applicants may prefer to apply through online passport service (www.onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk). If they do not receive the passport due to suspension of flights, their expired passports can be manually extended on submission of an application along with copies of the passport and NICOP/CNIC and prescribed fee.
New born babies can be endorsed on their parents’ passport after submission of fee and completion of other formalities.
