The High Commission of Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistani Diaspora living in the United Republic of Tanzania, the Welfare Association of Pakistan (WAP) in Dar es Salaam and other leaders of the Pakistani Community including businessmen and professionals, arranged a friendly donation of Preventive Protective Equipment (PPE) for the Government and the People of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The PPE was presented by Muhammad Saleem, Head of Mission, Pakistan High Commission, and Mr. Sheikh Shahid Majeed, President WAP, to Prof. Muhammad Bakari Kambi, Chief Medical Officer, Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, the United Republic of Tanzania, in Dar es Salaam on 21 April 2020.

Dr. Kambi expressed the gratitude on behalf of the Ministry for the friendly gesture of the Pakistan High Commission and the Pakistani Diaspora for the critically needed friendly donation of PPE to fight the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the country.                       Mr. Saleem said that the threat posed by the novel virus necessitated deepening of cooperation, solidarity and mutual support among all countries, communities and institutions. He expressed the hope that Pakistan and Tanzania alongwith the international community would come out of the pandemic threat by fighting it together.
