Ambassador Bilal Hayee was received by Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan this afternoon.

Ambassador Hayee conveyed the greetings and well wishes of the President and the Prime Minister to the Azerbaijani leadership and reiterated Pakistan’s support to the just stance of Azerbaijan on the issue of Nagorno Karabagh. The Ambassador handed over a copy of the letter of the Prime Minister addressed to the leaders of the Islamic world regarding the need to confront Islamophobia in the Western world.

Ambassador Hayee briefed Prime Minister Ali Asadov on various economic and investment initiatives launched by the Government of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He shared that Azerbaijani companies were welcome to enter and invest in the Pakistani market in diverse areas especially energy, construction and information technology.

Appreciating Pakistan’s consistent support for Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Asadov stated that the people of Azerbaijan view at the brotherly country of Pakistan with deep respect and affection. He lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan in steering the Muslim world. Prime Minister Asadov expressed keen interest in deepening and expanding the economic engagement between the two brotherly countries.
