To celebrate the 75^th Independence Day, Mission organized a solemn event in the Chancery that included the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Community Rendezvous. It was attended by prominent representatives of the diaspora, student fraternity as well as the Embassy’s roster.

At the outset, was the recitation from the Holy Quran. This was followed by the national flag being raised. Messages of President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif were also read out to the audience. Special prayers were offered for the peace, progress and prosperity of the homeland.

The synopsis on the day’s proceedings emphasized the sacrifices made by our founding fathers in securing independence. Sympathies were also expressed with the valiant people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). Several members of the audience even shared their reflections on Independence Day. They were urged to conduct themselves in a manner befitting of a Pakistani while residing in the Kyrgyz Republic.
