Prime Minister welcomes Malaysian Investors to invest in Pakistan

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan spent a busy day in Malaysia. In addition to the productive meetings with the Malaysian leadership, he met individually with a number of Malaysian Investors, who had expressed their interest in investing in Pakistan’s education sector, technology, telecommunication, e-governance & e-commerce, tourism industry, infrastructure development, Prime Minister’s affordable housing scheme, solid waste management, renewable energy, gemstone, heavy industries and Halal food products.

The Investors expressed their confidence in Pakistan’s market potential noting that the investment policy was one of the most liberal in the region. The Prime Minister assured the investors of Government’s full support and stated that Chairman BOI would assure smooth and speedy initiation of the projects. The Investors desired to venture in the identified sectors which were the priority areas of the Government of Pakistan.
