PRIME MINISTER’S MESSAGE OF SYMPATHY AND CONDOLENCES TO THE PRESIDENT OF AFGHANISTAN OVER THE LOSSES CAUSED BY AVALANCHES

Excellency,

We have learnt with deep anguish and sorrow about the avalanches in Panjsher Province resulting in the loss of precious lives, damage to property and destruction of hundred of houses.

On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, and on my own behalf, I offer our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families and the fraternal people of Afghanistan. We are also ready to extend all possible relief assistance for the victims of this natural disaster-hit area.

I reassure Your Excellency that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their Afghan brethren as they brave this tragic natural calamity.
