Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani will visit Mohali, India, for one day, on the invitation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to watch the ICC World Cup semi-final between Pakistan and India.
The two Prime Ministers will meet at this important sports event and watch the match together. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will host a dinner meeting in the honour of our Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Gilani will be accompanied, inter-alia, by important political leaders, members of the Federal Cabinet and Parliamentarians.
Prime Minister Gilani’s presence in Mohali signifies the tremendous enthusiasm of the people of Pakistan for cricket. It also coincides with the resumption of the Pakistan-India dialogue process.
The two Prime Ministers are expected to have a conversation on all issues of mutual interest on the sidelines of the cricket match.
