Reception in honor of SAPM

Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani hosted a welcome reception in honor of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Mr. Tariq Fatemi at the Embassy Residence on July 21, 2015. The reception was attended by a large number of senior U.S. officials from the White House, National Security Council, U.S. State Department, Department of Defence, Members and officials of the U.S. Congress and prominent members of Pakistani-American community.

The event afforded to the participants an opportunity for warm and candid interactions. The U.S. officials articulated their keen interest in Pakistan’s domestic policies and acknowledged with appreciation Pakistan’s regional outlook vis-a-vis its neighbors.

During the discussions, Mr. Fatemi highlighted the close and friendly relations between Pakistan and the United States and strong commitment of both countries to further strengthen these ties.

On this occasion, SAPM Fatemi and Ambassador Jilani also exchanged warm Eid greetings with the members of Pakistani-American community and reiterated Prime Minister’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of the Pakistani American diaspora. They also underscored the importance of boosting people-to-people ties between the two countries.

SAPM Fatemi is currently on an official visit to Washington DC.
