Pakistan and Brazil have agreed to sign a Technical Cooperation Agreement in the coming days. The Agreement will promote, inter alia, technical cooperation in the important fields of agriculture, health, science & technology, education and professional qualification etc.

During a meeting held in Brasilia today, Undersecretary General of the Brazilian Foreign Office (Itamaraty) Ambassador Henrique Pinto and Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil Mr. Najm us Saqib expressed satisfaction over the steady pace of strengthening relations between the two friendly countries. Ambassador Ary Quintella and Counsellor Ciro Marques of Itamaraty and First Secretary Azeem Cheema were also present.

While dilating upon the future course of action in deepening bilateral relations in different fields both sides also shared views on regional and international matters of mutual interest. Ambassador Saqib updated the Undersecretary General on the regional situation in South Asia and Pakistan’s on-going proactive role in restoring complete peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region.

During the meeting, it was also decided to convene the Fifth Round of Annual Bilateral Political Consultations in Brazil in 2019.
