It is announced with a deep sense of grief and sorrow that H.E. Mr. Burhan Muhammad, Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan, passed away early this morning in Singapore. Ambassador Burhan was critically injured in the tragic Naltar helicopter crash. He was initially treated at Army Burns Centre, Kharian, and then at the request of the Indonesian Government was evacuated to Singapore on an Air Ambulance on 11 May 2015 for further treatment.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, we wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the bereaved family of the late Ambassador. The Government of Pakistan has nominated its High Commissioner in Singapore to travel with the body of the late Ambassador to his hometown in Indonesia.
