Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Syed Tariq Fatemi meets with Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Maldives

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs (SAPM), Syed Tariq Fatemi is in Uzbekistan to attend the 43rd Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) from 18-19 October 2016.

Today, he held bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan. The meeting was held in a cordial environment and wide ranging issues were discussed. Both sides reiterated their desire to further enhance their brotherly relations especially in the field of economics and trade.

Syed Tariq Fatemi appreciated the arrangements of Government of Uzbekistan to host the 43rd Session of OIC, Council of Foreign Ministers.

Separately, the Foreign Minister of Maldives met SAPM on the sidelines of the meeting. The two ministers discussed the bilateral relations and agreed on the need to further strengthen the bilateral relations. Maldives’ Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for its support to Maldives during CMAG and at other multilateral forums.
