Syed Tariq Fatemi Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs received the German Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Stephan Steinlein at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
Stressing that Pakistan greatly valued its relations with Germany, the SAPM briefed the visiting dignitary on Prime Minister’s vision of a peaceful neighbourhood and highlighted efforts undertaken by the government to eradicate the menace of terrorism and extremism. Global and regional issues were also discussed.
Syed Tariq Fatemi also stated that Pakistan was an investment friendly country, which provided opportunities for foreign investors in diverse areas of economy. He urged the visiting dignitary to encourage the German entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan.
Mr. Steinlein stated that Germany considered Pakistan an important country and greatly appreciated Pakistan’s fight against terrorism and extremism. He stated that Germany looked forward to strengthening its ties with Pakistan in all spheres and the German Business delegation, which he is heading, is positively engaging with its Pakistani counterparts.
