Thai Ambassador hands over cheque of US$30,000 for flood relief
His Excellency Mr. Marut Jitpatma, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand called on Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir this afternoon and presented a cheque of US $30,000/- for Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund 2011.
The Foreign Secretary briefed him on the situation caused by torrential rains and floods. He thanked the government and people of Thailand for the expression of solidarity and support for the people of Pakistan.
Pakistan and Thailand have close friendly relations. The two countries hold similar views on a number of regional and global issues and have close cooperative interaction at multilateral forums.
