The Embassy of Pakistan in Warsaw organized an event today to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) due to India’s decision of 5 August 2019, in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal 2022.

The messages of the President, Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister were read out to the audience, wherein complete solidarity was expressed with Kashmiri people, condemning India’s flagrant human rights violations in IIOJK well documented by the international human rights  and humanitarian organizations.

Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Hussain Memon reiterated Pakistan’s continued unflinching political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He informed the gathering that for the past three years, Kashmiris have suffered the worst human rights violations by Indian Occupation Forces including military siege. The Ambassador called upon the international community to prevail upon India to end gross human rights  violations in Jammu and Kashmir and abide by the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council that called for the final disposition of the State of  Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the will of the people of Kashmir.

A screening of documentary on Kashmir was also organized.

The event was attended by the academicians, journalists, and members of Pakistani community and Polish society in Warsaw.
