The Prime Minister had a meeting with the President of Tunisia, H.E. Mohamed Moncef Marzouki today (24 September 2013) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Pakistan and Tunisia enjoy friendly relations and share common perceptions on various international issues. The Prime Minister welcomed the transition of Tunisia from a single-party to multi-party political system and lauded the first free multi-party elections in Tunisia in October 2011. The two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and underlined the need to deepen cooperation in trade, education information, S&T, agriculture, judicial, security and defence matters. They agreed on an early meeting of the Joint Ministerial Commission.
