High Commission for Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Mauritius in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organised a trade delegation of Mauritian Businessmen to Karachi Pakistan from 8 to 15 October 2019.  Delegation was seen off by Dr. Syed Rizwan Ahmed, High Commissioner of Pakistan at the SSR International Airport.

18 members Business delegation comprised Importers of Autoparts, Cooking Oil, Tyre, Bed Sheets, Jeans, Towels, Readymade Garments for ladies and gents, artificial jewellery, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables.

During the visit of the delegates were received by Secretary TDAP, Mr. Muhammad Sualeh Ahmed Faruqui. Honorary Consul General of Mauritius Mr. Sohail Yasin. An interactive session with TDAP authorities was also held. The delegation held back to back meetings with their counterparts. Visit ended with visit to various wholesale markets in Karachi. A farewell dinner was hosted by Mauritius Campus of Greenwich University of Pakistan.

In the beginning of festive season in Mauritius, the visit was a great opportunity for the delegates to interact with Pakistani businessmen.

Mauritius and Pakistan enjoy friendly and cordial bilateral relations, which are deep rooted and are based on solid foundations. The visit of Mauritian business delegation to Pakistan was highly successful in enhancing bilateral trade, commercial and economic cooperation between the two friendly countries. It was an opportunity to develop close personal linkages with Pakistani Business Community and identifying new areas of bilateral trade and commercial cooperation.
