The Consulate General urges the Pakistanis living in the UAE to take advantage of amnesty programme at the earliest and not wait till the last moment. They must leave the UAE before October 31, 2018 or legalize their status of residency.

The “Protect Yourself by Modifying Your Status” initiative, which grants a 3-month grace period for illegal residents will end on October 31, 2018.

The Consulate General will extend all possible assistance in this regard.

How to avail Visa Amnesty

Amnesty seekers who want to leave the country

 

  • Visit the Amnesty Registration Service Centre in Al Aweer in Dubai or main Immigration Offices in Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain (from where the visa was issued). The Service Centres operate from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm (Sunday to Thursday).
  • Amnesty seeker should have original passport or Emergency Travel Document (out-pass) issued by the Consulate General.
  • Payment of fee for issuance of exit permit.
  • Exit permit will be issued by the relevant Centre. After receipt of exit pass, leave the country within the given period.
  • Those who entered UAE illegally will be issued an exit pass with a two-year entry ban to the UAE.

    For those who want to legalize residency status

  • Amnesty seeker needs to go to Amer Centres in Dubai or main Immigration Offices in Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain to apply to legalize the residency status. The Centres operate from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm (Sunday to Thursday).
  • Amnesty seeker should have original valid passport with them along with copies/details of the previous passports/documents;
  • Payment of fee for regularizing visa status.
  • After payment of the required fees, they can opt for a six-month temporary visa to look for a new job. If they already have been offered a new job, they can immediately get a residency visa.
