UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Assistance to Pakistan called on Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar

Ambassador Rauf Engin Soysal, the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Assistance to Pakistan called on Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs this morning.
Ambassador Soysal briefed the Minister of State on the ongoing efforts by the UN system in assisting the flood affected people in early recovery phase. He also discussed UN’s role in the reconstruction phase.
Minister of State stressed the importance of International assistance in the reconstruction phase.
