US Ambassador Robin Raphel calls on Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Mr. Sartaj Aziz

Ambassador Robin Raphel, Senior Advisor for Pakistan to the US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, called on Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Mr. Sartaj Aziz today and exchanged views on a number of issues including Pakistan-US relations and the regional situation.

Ambassador Raphel underscored the common interest in meeting challenges like terrorism and praised Pakistan’s efforts as manifest in the latest operation in North Waziristan. She reaffirmed continued US support to Pakistan especially in the economy and energy sectors.

During her ongoing visit to Pakistan, Ambassador Raphel has met a number of Pakistani dignitaries. Ambassador Raphel has been a frequent visitor to Pakistan; her last visit was in May 2014.
