LOC: The second highest mountain in the world, after the Everest, is known as K-2. With 8.164 meters high it is located in the border between Pakistan and China.

LOC: Climbing the K-2 is a dangerous adventure. According the statistics, one person among four that succeed reaching the top dies. This mountain was never climbed during winter time. It is simply impossible.

LOC: The mountains are the natural sight of the north of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, located in the south of Asia with an area of 880 thousand square kilometers.

The natural beauty, the rich culture and the fact that the country had suffered the influence of many civilizations attracts more than 2 million tourists per year.

LOC: Today with more than 210 million inhabitants and an economy mainly by agriculture and industry, Pakistan was the crib of ancient cultures and has always had an important role in south Asian history.

LOC: Many empires, such as the Persian, dominated the territory among the centuries and through Pakistan has crossed the conquer Alexander the Great, leading his army. PAKISTANI MUSIC
LOC: The arrival of Islam was determinant for the territory that today is Pakistan. Later, the Pakistani territory started to belong to the British Empire along with India and Bangladesh.

LOC: When the British Colonialism ended, aroused in 1948 an independent India and Pakistan nations. However, the oriental region of Pakistan, after a civil war with Indian participation, became in 1971 a new country named Bangladesh.

LOC: With the end of the Colonial Domain the criteria adopted was that the regions with the majority of the population following Hinduism was to be part of the independent India, while the areas with the majority of Muslims belonged to Pakistan.

LOC: However, this was not respected in the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, inhabited mainly by Muslims, it was occupied by India with a strong military force.

LOC: Pakistan has been reporting this situation for decades, accusing the Indian security forces of committing violations against human rights of the local population, which was confirmed by THE United Nations.

LOC: For the Pakistani Ambassador in Brazil, H.E Najm Us Saqib, the solution for this conflict is to listen to the people in the region so that they can decide to which country they want to belong.
FIRST AMBASSADOR'S SPEECH
"The people of Jammu and Kashmir have been waiting for the long plebiscite of the United Nations so that it can be decided the future of the region".
LOC: The situation regarding Jammu and Kashmir it is one of the questions that has been harming the relations between India and Pakistan that already had military conflicts. The Pakistani Ambassador highlights that his country considers that the divergences can be solved peacefully.
SECOND AMBASSADOR'S SPEACH
"The substantial and true dialogue it's the only way to solve the conflicts between India and Pakistan. All bilateral problems, including Jammu and Kashmir, can only be contoured throughout dialogues between Islamabad and New Delhi".
LOC: The fact of being a neighbor of Afghanistan has also been a problem for the Pakistani, since the armed conflict that has been happening for decades attracts violence to the regions close to the border.

LOC: It is the case of the extreme radical actions of the Taliban's against the access of women to education, and that tried to kill by gun shooting the young Malala Yosafzai in 2012. She survived and became, two years later, the youngest person to receive a Nobel Prize for Peace.

LOC: This is not the only Nobel Prize received by a Pakistani: In 1979, the scientist Abdus Salam was rewarded by his researches in physics.

The Government of Pakistan has actively supported the search of a peaceful solution for the conflict in Afghanistan and aims to support the country in whatever is possible, as it was highlighted by the Pakistani Ambassador:

"Pakistan has been suffering considerable human and financial losses due to the 40-year-old conflict in Afghanistan. Beyond that, Afghanistan keeps more than two million refugees. The Government of Pakistan has recently taken a series of measures to underline the trade, transit and connectivity with Afghanistan".
LOC: In the political aspect, Pakistan is a Parliamentary Democracy. It has a president and a Prime Minister.

LOC: The parliamentary is bicameral with 104 senators and 342 deputies. In the Chamber there are 60 chairs guaranteed for women and 10 for Non-Muslims. Each one of the four provinces of the country also counts with a Legislative power, the Provincial Assembly.

LOC: The President of Pakistan is Dr. Arif Alvi elected in 2018. The Prime Minister is Imran Khan, an ex-athlete.

He leaded the Pakistani cricket team, World Champion in 1922. It is the most favorite sport of the Pakistanis jointly with Grass Hockey. Both are a heritage of the long British presence.
