Pakistan High Commission, Kigali, Rwanda, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, organized a webinar on Roshan Digital Accounts/ affiliated products of SBP, on 18 November 2021. The webinar was attended by ex-patriate Pakistan community members residing in Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Burundi and Uganda. Around sixty expatriate Pakistanis, mainly from Rwanda and the above-mentioned countries participated in the event.
Syed Irfan Ali, Managing Director (Deposit protection Corporation) SBP, Ms. Saima Hameed, Joint Director (Exchange Policy Department) SBP and Mr. Arshad Sattar, Manager Pak Remittances Institute SBP, gave detailed presentations on Roshan Digital Accounts/ affiliated products of SBP. The presentations were followed by an extensive question-answer session.
The High Commissioner of Pakistan, in his opening and concluding remarks, briefly highlighted the present Government’s “Engage Africa’’ policy and the opening of five new Resident Missions in the continent. He stated that the opening of the new Missions in Africa, basically aimed at provision of services to our community in a graceful manner and also strengthening our trade and investment relations with the countries. The government of Pakistan initiative of Roshan Digital Accounts/ affiliated products of SBP also basically aimed at facilitation of our expatriate community.
