CURTAIN RAISER - Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq's visit to Bahrain 7-9 Nov 2016
At the invitation of Honorable Speaker of Council of Representatives of Bahrain's Parliament, H.E. Ahmed Bin Ebrahim Al Mullah, Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, will lead a Parliamentary delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 7-9 November 2016. Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Javed Malik, is making necessary preparations to make Speaker's visit meaningful and productive. The visit aims to consolidate, upgrade and expand close fraternal ties between the governments and the people of the two countries.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will hold bilateral meetings with his counterpart, H.E Ahmed Ebrahim Al Mullah, as well as Chairman of the Shura Council, H.E Saleh Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh. He will also attend the Session of the Council of Representatives in Bahrain, which will be followed by delegation level talks between the two Speakers.
He will also meet members of the newly established Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Parliamentary Friendship Group to discuss ways to further expand parliamentary linkages between both countries. The Friendship Group not only connects the members of Parliament from both countries but also provides a forum to exchange experiences and to pave the way for expansion of people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will call on His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, and hold bilateral meetings with HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, and HRH the Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Pakistan is committed to strong, brotherly and wide-ranging relations between the two countries; these meetings will be instrumental in highlighting Pakistan's ongoing efforts to boost ties with Bahrain and the GCC countries. The Speaker will also meet the Minister of Interior Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa and other Ministers during his visit.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will also meet members of the Pakistani community in a dinner hosted by Ambassador Javed Malik in the honor of the Speaker and his delegation.
