1. General Visa Instructions. Applicants are advised to carefully read the following visa processing instructions (common to all categories of Visas), this will ensure smooth and speedy processing of E-Visas:-

2. E-Visa Specific Visa Instructions
Electronic version of your photograph and all supporting documents upto the size of 200 KB
Valid credit/ debit card for online payment (8.8 dollar visa processing fee for the Chinese nationals, but for the third country nationals the visa fee will differ from country to county).
b. Please fill in the visa application form completely/ correctly, don’t leave any column vacant, the fields marked with (*) are mandatory (the provided data on the application form will be verified by relevant departments).
c. While applying visa through Pakistan Online Visa System, please select your nearest Visa Office (apart from Embassy at Beijing, we have 4 our Consulates General located at Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Consulates General are fully empowered to issue all types of E-Visas). Selecting of appropriate Visa Office is essential (nearest to your residence of applicant), as subsequently, some E-Visa applicants might be required to appear for an interview before Visa Counselor at Embassy/ Consulate Generals.
d. Carefully select the category of visa as later it can’t be changed.
e. Applicants are advised to plan their journeys/ business trips and purchase Air Tickets, as per the Time Lines given for the visa processing of various categories of E-Visas.

PAKISTAN ONLINE VISA SYSTEM
(IMPORTANT TERMINOLOGIES)
1. Applicant. The applicant is the person (or persons) applying for Pakistan Online Visa.
2. Abolition List. It is list of countries with whom Government of Pakistan have concluded agreement for abolition of Visa on reciprocal basis. See Visa Abolition List at (http://visa.nadra.gov.pk/visa-abolition-list/).
3. Business Visa List. This is a list of business friendly countries identified by Government of Pakistan. See Business Friendly Countries List (BVL) at (http://visa.nadra.gov.pk/business-visa-list-bvl/).
4. Dependent Children. A child or stepchild, who has not turned 18 years of age, or, if aged 18 years or over, is a dependent. A dependent child must not have a partner or be engaged to be married.
5. Extension. You can extend your stay by applying for extension of relevant visa category in Pakistan.
6. Housemaid. Domestic servant.
7. Immediate family. Your partner and dependent children.
8. INGO. The registered international non-governmental organization in Pakistan.
9. Journalist Journalists, correspondents or reporters representing overseas news organizations.

13. NGO. Non-Governmental Organization. A registered non-profit organization that operates independently of any government, one whose purpose is to address a social or political issue.
14. NOC. No Objection Certificate, is a type of legal certificate issued by any agency, organization and institute or, in certain cases, an individual.
15.Period of Stay. A foreigner may enter to Pakistan at any time within the validity of the granted visa. The period of stay will count from the date of his/ her arrival. Stay will be governed by the residential permit issued by foreigner registration office at the time of his/ her registration and not by date of issuance of visa.
16. POC. Pakistan Origin Card. It’s the Identity document issued to foreigners with Pakistan Origin.

19. Transit Visa. A visa allowing its holder to pass through a country only, not to stay there.
20. Visa. Permission to travel to, to enter and/ or to remain in Pakistan for a period of time.
21. Visa Validity. The validity of visa is the period during which it can be used. All visas are valid for entry into Pakistan from the date of issue and if the visa has not been utilized during this period, it would become invalid.

HOW TO APPLY PAKISTAN ONLINE VISA
1. Step-1 (Accessing Pakistan Online Visa Website). You can access Pakistan Online Visa website athttp://visa.nadra.gov.pk by clicking this link, you will land on the MAIN PAGE of Pakistan Online Visa website.
2. Step-2 (How to Register/ Create An Account)

1. Enter your Given Name.
2. Enter your Surname.
3. Enter your Email Address.
4. Retype your Email Address.
5. Enter your Passport Number.
6. Retype your Passport Number.
7. Type the CAPTCHA Code.
8. Check the box to Agree to the ‘Terms of Service’.
9. When you are finished, click on ‘Save and Continue’ (provide your name as it appears on the passport).
d. When you are successfully registered, the Registration Successful message will appear on the screen.
e. An email confirmation is sent to your registered Email Address that contains your PIN number. Click on the ‘Continue Registration’ link to proceed.
f. Enter your PIN in Account verification and click ‘Verify’. (SUCCESS! You are now registered in the Pakistan Online Visa System will appear on screen).
g. Upon successful verification, you will be redirected to the Login Page (If you do not receive the Email Confirmation, please click on ‘Resend Code’ button).

Enter the Date of Conviction/ Penalty.
a. Enter the Country Name where the Conviction/ Penalty was imposed.
b. Describe the Offence committed.
c. Describe the Sentence as a result of Conviction/ Penalty.
d. Describe the Reason of Conviction/ Penalty.
e. Select from the list whether you were Deported/ Arrested/ Convicted or under Trial as result of the Conviction/ Penalty.
f. Click ‘Add’ to make entry of this Conviction/ Penalty to your Application (repeat steps to add additional Conviction/ Penalties to your Application).
g. Click ‘Save and Continue’ to proceed.

Application Submission
1. After successful payment, you will be redirected to the following page acknowledging the receipt of your Credit Card payment.
2. Click ‘Submit My Application’ to submit your Visa Application to the Visa Officer (please note that it is very important to submit your Application after completing the Payment. If you do not submit the Application, the process on your Visa case will not be initiated).
3. Upon successful submission of your application, the ‘Application Submitted Successfully’ message will be displayed.
4. An email confirmation will also be sent to the registered email address as SUCCESS! Your Pakistani Visa Application has been successfully submitted.
