Pakistan contributes US$ One Million to the typhoon affected people in the Philippines
The people and the Government of Pakistan are deeply grieved by the tragic loss of life and wide spread damage to the property caused by super typhoon Haiyan which hit central Philippines on 8 November 2013.
To express solidarity with the people of the Philippines, the Government of Pakistan has announced US$ one million as contribution to relief efforts for the calamity hit areas.
Earlier, the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan in their messages of sympathy assured the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino, that the Pakistani nation stood by the people and the Government of the Philippines in this hour of need.
