Tajik Ambassador pays farewell call on the Foreign Minister

H.E. Dr. Zubaydullo N. Zubaydov, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan paid farewell call on the Foreign Minister, H.E. Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar. The Foreign Minister appreciated the Ambassador’s role in further strengthening of relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan during his stay of four years in Islamabad. The Foreign Minister stated that signing of the Trilateral Transit Trade Agreement among Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan was extremely important to increase trade between the two countries. She hoped that cooperation in various fields including commercial and economic cooperation, would continue to expand and diversify.
The Ambassador informed the Foreign Minister that the formal bilateral trade had registered an increase of 400%, which now stood at US$ 250 million. He said that the Tajik President gives special consideration to the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
The Foreign Minister wished Ambassador Zubaydov success in his new assignment.
