Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication of Pakistan, H.E. Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja is undertaking a three-day official visit to the Russian Federation to participate in the Second International Technology Congress (ITC) from 16 to 18 September 2025 taking place in Moscow.
Today, in her remarks at the plenary session titled "Digital Compass of the SCO Partner Dialogue: Course on Trusted Technologies", the Minister highlighted Pakistan's vibrant journey towards digitalisation and IT initiatives. She outlined the prevalent challanges posed by the technologies suggesting the remedial mearures to address them and emphasized on international cooperation among the SCO member countries.
The Minister also held a meeting with Mr. Valentin Makarov, President of RUSSOFT, the association of software developing companies in Russia and Mr. Andrei Glebov, ITC Director, on the sidelines of the event. Both sides discussed areas of mutual interest.
The first day's engagements of the Minister also included the visit to different exhibition booths of Russian IT comapnies, interaction with exhibitors and a detailed interview to renowned Russian news agency Sputnik, during which she elaborated Pakistan's potential in IT sector and collaboration with Russia.
