Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has twice served as Minister for Foreign Affairs; from 2008 – 2011 and currently, since August 2018.
A seasoned politician, Foreign Minister Qureshi has engaged at every echelon of politics and governance since he started his political career in 1983 from the District Council, from where he progressed to the Provincial Assembly.

Ambassador Sohail Mahmood is a career Foreign Service officer with diplomatic experience spanning over 3 decades that includes various assignments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Pakistan’s missions abroad in both bilateral and multilateral arenas.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have galvanised a Crisis Management Unit, working around the clock since the #Covid_19 outbreak to look after all Pakistani passengers stranded abroad and to coordinate COVID-19 updates to reach our Diaspora through our Missions.
Global fight against #Covid_19 requires multilateral approach & coordination. We have reached out to FMs of China, Iran, Turkey, Italy, UK, Spain, France, Germany, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka & Nepal thus far to share perspective, help and to exchange best practices
