As part of her official visit to the Russian Federation to participate in the Second International Technology Congress (ITC) in Moscow, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, H.E. Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja was received by Mr. Grigory Borisenko, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, at the Ministry today.

Appreciating Federal Minister’s participation in ITC, Mr. Borisenko stated that Pakistan was one of the most highly dynamically developing markets in the IT sphere and Russia attached high importance for cooperation with Pakistan in this area.

H.E. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja outlined areas of interest for collaboration with Russia in the digital realm. She highlighted Pakistan’s strengths and vast potential in the field of IT and further prospects of constructive engagement between the two countries. She also underlined that Pakistan was a important “digital hub” for enhancing digital connectivity especially with Russia and other Central Asian countries.

The visit of the Minister was deeply appreciated by the Russian side which will lead to further strengthening of bilateral relations.
