A delegation comprising faculty and course participants of the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad, undertook their Foreign Study Tour to Bosnia & Herzegovina from 06 – 10 May 2024. At the commencement of the visit,the delegation visited Embassy of Pakistan, Sarajevo on 07 May 2024.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Bosnia & Herzegovina, Maj Gen Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah HI (M) (Retd) welcomed the delegation at the Embassy and briefed them on the regional issues and also on history, political and economic situation of
Bosnia & Herzegovina (BiH), including Pakistan-BiH bilateral relations. Later, a dinner was also hosted by the Ambassador for the visiting delegation.
During their visit to Bosnia & Herzegovina, the delegation also called on Assistant Minister for NATO and PfP at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Mr. Momir Brajić, Secretary of the BiH Ministry of Defence, Dr. Muhamed Smajić, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, Brigadier General Tomo Kolenda, and President of the Foreign Trade Chamber, Dr. Vjekoslav Vuković, as well as visiting the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Bosnia & Herzegovina and the Peace Support Operations Training Center (PSOTC). The delegation also visited the Igman Ammunition Factory, Konjic, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), as well as Mostar City, as part of their visit to Bosnia & Herzegovina.
