The Embassy of Pakistan Sofia participated in the event titled ‘Taste and Aromas of Four continents’ organized by the municipality of Izgrev District in Sofia. The event was held in the Tintyava Park, Izgrev, located at a distance of about 200 feet from the Embassy.

  The purpose of the event was exposing the local populace to culinary treasures of various countries. The Embassies of Cuba, Mongolia and Vietnam also participated in the event.

The embassy booth showcased Pakistani culture through a rich display of traditional Pakistani handicrafts and scrumptious cuisine such as Chicken Biryani, Samosa, Pakora,Dahi Baray, Chana Chaat and salad. Visitors were treated to the delicacies free of cost.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Ambassador thanked the Izgrev Mayor Delyan Gorgeiv for inviting the Embassy to participate in the event. He stated that such events offer a great opportunity to introduce the local populace to the culture and cuisine of different countries. It fosters acceptance and love for different cultures.

In her speech, the Deputy mayor, Ms. Iliana Iotova, thanked the efforts of participants to make the event a success.

The Embassy’s stall was widely appreciated by visitors including members of the diplomatic community, friends of the Russian embassy and members of the Pakistan community in Sofia.
