Youm-e-Istehsal was observed in the High Commission of Pakistan in Dar-es-Salaam this morning. Pakistani diaspora in Tanzania attended the event.

The event started with recitation of the Holy Quran. National anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were played. Special messages of the President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were readout.

Mr. Ghazi Naeemullah Dar, Chairman Kashmir Committee of Tanzania, expressed his thoughts on the plight of innocent Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). A special documentary depicting the plight of Kashmiris was displayed to the audience. One-minute silence was observed to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

In his remarks, High Commissioner Siraj Ahmad Khan highlighted the brutalities perpetrated by Indian occupied forces in IIOJK since 5 August 2019 and urged the international community to play its role in the peaceful resolution of the dispute. He also reiterated Pakistan’s continued support for the legitimate and just struggle of Kashmiris.

The event ended with special prayers for the freedom of Kashmir from the Indian illegal occupation.
