Born in 1969. Holds Master’s in International Relations from International Institute of Public Administration, Paris and Master’s in International Economic Law (LLM) from University of Warwick, UK. Joined Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1992. Served as Secretary Board of Investment, Prime Minister’s Office, Islamabad.

Additional Secretary (Afghanistan & West Asia) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with responsibilities for Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Director General (Policy Planning and Public Diplomacy) (2015-2017). Director (Europe) (2007-2008). Deputy Director (Foreign Minister Office) (2002-2004). Section Officer (UN) (2000-2002).
