The size of Pakistani community in Kazakhstan is relatively small. Most of the community reside in Almaty, a commercial hub which is around 1200 km from the capital, Astana. Most of Pakistanis are married to local Kazakhs and live on resident visas. The Pakistani community in Almaty is vibrant and actively involved in business, particularly in import of citrus and sports goods from Pakistan.
