Functions and Responsibilities of Trade and Investment Wing

Pakistan-UAE bilateral relations have historically evolved into wide-ranging areas of trade, investment, commercial and economic cooperation. The Trade and Investment Wing of the Consulate General of Pakistan Dubai is responsible for promotion of trade in goods and services, business networking and institutional linkages with trade-related government as well as private forums, investment promotion besides consolidating the bridges between trade communities, entrepreneurs and businessmen of both the countries.

The Trade & Investment Wing also offers customized business consulting services to businessmen, importers and exporters besides arranging business events, trade fairs, exhibitions, road shows and delegations throughout the year with an aim to enhance trade & investment opportunities between Pakistan and the UAE.

SELECTION OF TRADE AND INVESTMENT OFFICERS (TIOS)

(BS-18 TO BS-20) IN PAKISTAN TRADE MISSION’S ABROAD

The Ministry of Commerce Islamabad has advertised for the selection of the post of Trade and Investment Officers (TIOs) (BS-18 to Bs-20) in Pakistan Trade Missions abroad whose details are available on the Ministry’s website at the following link.

How to Apply:

• In terms of Para-I(f) of Policy Guidelines,-2023, 10% quota has been reserved for Pakistani Diaspora/Private Sector candidates. Against the said quota, the written test shall be conducted by M/s Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Washington D.C, London and Dubai.
• The Test date is 05.01.2025.
•  For Dubai, the written test, psychometric test and subsequent interviews will be conducted at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Um-Hurair Bur-Dubai.
•  The written test portal is accessible at https://moc.lums.edu.pk/. This website provides candidates with all relevant test-related information, including applicant registration, the online application form, the syllabus, sample test, and important dates.
