On 22nd March, 2024 the High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E Muhammad Hassan Wazir attended Iftar Dinner Organized by the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among at the Parliament lawn. Members of diplomatic corps and Muslims across Uganda also attended the event.

On March 13, 2024 the High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Hassan Wazir called on Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire, Minister of Internal Affairs. They discussed matter relating to bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, especially between Ministry of Interior of Pakistan and Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uganda.

They conducted a startup workshop on linkage between Uganda (Recipient) and Pakistan (Provider) on establishing Halal Authentication Laboratory in IUIU Kampala.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Hassan Wazir, hosted a team of Ugandan Government officials led by Mr. Aggrey Kibengu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Gender, Labour & Social Development on March 01, 2024. With cooperation form the World Bank, they are travelling to Pakistan to learn from best practices of Benazir Income Support Programme and replicate it in Uganda for uplifting the vulnerable people.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Hassan Wazir, hosted Maulana Habib Ullah Attari and his team at Pakistan House on February 19, 2024. A well-known philanthropist, Attari is also famous for his eloquence as well as has melodious voice while reciting Hamd and Naat.

Muhammad Hassan Wazir held a meeting with Prof. Mouhamad Mpezihigo, Vice Chancellor of Kampala International University on February 13, 2024 at Kampala International University. They discussed cooperation in educational field. The High Commissioner also interacted with faculty members of KIU.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E Muhammad Hassan Wazir, hosted Pakistani ophthalmologists led by Dr Syed Zuhaib ul Hassan at Pakistan House on January 28, 2024. They performed exceptionally well in carrying out some complex cataract surgeries in Lira and Katakwi, Uganda.

Pakistani community with trained Doctors from Pakistan conducted a two days Free Eye Camp at Katawi. Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, Her Excellency Jessica Alupo witnessed free Medical Camp of Pakistan at Katakwi on January 27, 2024. Pakistani Ophthalmologist operated more than 300 cataract surgeries free of charge.

Additional Foreign Secretary (United Nations), Ambassador Syed Haider Shah delivered Pakistan’s national statement at the Third South Summit of the Group of 77 & China, held in Kampala, Uganda. The Additional Foreign Secretary called for enhanced international cooperation, particularly among countries of the Global South, to move forward on sustainable development and for the attainment of SDGs and the agreed climate goals. He called upon developed countries to deliver on their historical commitments and support the Global South in achieving the SDGs.

Additional Foreign Secretary (United Nations) Ambassador Syed Haider Shah delivered Pakistan’s national statement at the 19th NAM Summit in Kampala, Uganda. He outlined Pakistan’s firm commitment to the Non-aligned Movement and its founding principles and its continued support to the Movement’s efforts towards peace, equality, cooperation and well-being for all. Additional Foreign Secretary also called for an early resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
