The Embassy deals with Pakistan's bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra. It also represents Pakistan at the UN Tourism, which is based in Madrid.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Embassy of Pakistan in Madrid which is also concurrently accredited to Andorra.
Pakistan and Spain relations are based on mutual respect and collaboration between two countries which is resonated in cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels. These relations are further cemented by the presence of Pakistani diaspora in Spain who have embedded into the local culture resulting in the creation of a unique mix of Pakistani-Spanish Culture.
My team has updated the website to make it more convenient to use and informative. We hope that this website would provide you with a glimpse of what Pakistan has to offer.

Pakistan is a proud owner of vibrant array of cultures and diverse traditions. From the artful expression of devotion through calligraphy and soulful qawwalis, to our modern rappers and rockers our cultural tapestry is dynamic and eye-catching. Pakistan hosts beautiful green terrain in north for leisure travelers, snow covered mountains for thrill seekers and a gastronomically appetizing array of cuisine for food lovers. For history buffs, we have Lahore that narrates stories of Mughal era and Peshawar which is one of the oldest cities of South Asia.
There is something for everyone!! People who have visited Pakistan have fallen in love with it.

Pakistan Spain Bilateral Relations
The relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Spain are based upon shared values, economic complementarities and the quest for equality, justice and respect for multilateral fora. We share perspective on important regional and global issues; including climate change, development and respect for United Nation Security Council Resolutions on major international flash points.
Pakistan sees Spain as a strong upholder of humanitarian values, multilateralism, free trade and a source of technology in our quest for renewable energy and carbon neutral development.
Pakistan and Spain are both members of the ´Uniting for Consensus Group´ for Security Council reform as well as collaborating for interfaith harmony. They have a shared outlook and commonality of views on a number of international for a, especially the United Nations.
Spain is our second largest trade partner within the EU and we consider this relationship key for our economic priorities like sustainable development, digitilisation and innovation.
Bilateral trade between Pakistan and Spain is about USD $1.6 billion, with Pakistan enjoying a trade surplus of US$ 1.3 billion. Total exports of Pakistan stand at US$ 1.5 billion and total imports stand at US$ 214.08 million.
Our efforts are on enhancing exports in traditional as well as non-traditional exporting in the areas of textiles and diversifying exports to Agro-food products, minerals, and services like Information technology.
There are growing institutional linkages between our educational and research institutions.
Lahore and Cordoba are sister cities since 1968. Lahore is one of the only 12 cities of the world which have a such a relationship with Cordoba. Cordoba has named a street after Pakistan’s national poet Dr. Allama Iqbal and there is also a roundabout named after Lahore in the city. Pakistanis know Cordoba as the inspiration for Iqbal’s great poem.
Another important aspect of our bilateral relations is presence of large number of Pakistani origin people in Spain, mainly concentrated in Barcelona, Valencia and Logroño. These people have immersed themselves in the local society creating a beautiful mix of Spanish-Pakistani culture. The estimated number of community members/diaspora residing in all of the Spain stands at 108,000 (as per 2022 statistics).
This diverse group comprises students, skilled workers, highly qualified professionals and blue collar workers.

Pakistan and Andorra Bilateral Relations
Andorra is the sixth smallest country in Europe with an area of about 500 m² and population of about 80,000.
The Principality of Andorra has two Heads of States (Co-Princes ) which are President of France and Bishop of Urgell. Ambassadors accredited to Andorra are supposed to present credentials to both of them. Ambassador Dr. Zahoor Ahmed presented his credentials as Pakistan’s Ambassador concurrently accredited to Andorra at the Élysée Palace to President Macron on 17th September, 2024.
Pakistan and Andorra enjoy friendly and cordial relations. Both countries have been supporting each other at the international fora. Recently, Andorra supported Pakistan’s candidature for the UN Security Council for the term 2025-2026.
Both countries have shared interest in promoting mountain tourism, climate change and free trade.
