As a member of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu & Kashmir, Niger has strongly endorsed Pakistan's stance, advocating for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination on global platforms. This unwavering support underscores Niger’s commitment to Pakistan on this critical matter.

In addition to its diplomatic relation, Pakistan has actively contributed to Niger's development through food security, scholarships, training programs, and defense cooperation. Over the years, Pakistani institutions have offered educational scholarships to Nigerien students, particularly in fields like medicine, engineering, and technology, which have played a key role in building Niger's human capital. Diplomatic training for Nigerien officials at Pakistan’s Foreign Service Academy has further strengthened institutional ties between the two nations.

Pakistan has also provided support in capacity building in security and defense matters, with Niger expressing keen interest in enhancing cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism. The capacity building program enhancing the professional capabilities of Nigerien military personnel by providing specialized training at some of its best military institutions in Pakistan. These training programs have equipped Nigerien officers with advanced skills in defense, strategy, and counter-terrorism, fostering stronger defense cooperation between the two nations.
