Ambassador Aamir Shouket welcomed H.E. Sarah Ismail AlShoura, Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO) of the OIC, to the Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation on women’s development and empowerment across OIC Member States. Ambassador Shouket highlighted Pakistan’s legal, financial, and institutional reforms aimed at promoting women’s socio-economic inclusion and expanding opportunities for their participation in national development.

H.E. AlShoura commended Pakistan’s progress and appreciated the country’s innovative initiatives in advancing women’s empowerment. She expressed interest in promoting the exchange of best practices and exploring the replication of Pakistan’s successful reform models across OIC Member States through collaboration with the Women Development Organization.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Pakistan and the WDO to advancing women’s empowerment and fostering inclusive and sustainable development across the Islamic world.
