HE Ali Javed, hosted a Reception at Pakistan House to welcome Managements and National Hockey teams of Oman, Pakistan & Japan which participated in Tri-Nation Championship in Muscat. To mark the occasion and to further the scope of sports, Management and National Cricket Team of Oman was also invited to the Event. A simple but attractive Souvenirs Exchange Ceremony among the three teams was also conducted. Speaking to the Guests, the Ambassador praised the overwhelming response from Pakistani and Omani citizens towards reviving Hockey across the Sultanate and appreciated Oman Hockey Association led by its Chairman Captain Talib al Wahaibi for his passionate services, mentioning the honors for Oman to unprecedented host 'Asian Champions Trophy' in Muscat in October 2018. Chairman OHA expressed gratitude to Omani and Pakistani civil society representatives and Media for their strong support and appreciated the initiative by the Ambassador to honor the three national hockey and the national cricket Team and Managements. He praised Pakistani community initiative to bring over 1000 parents, students and teachers from Muscat, Seeb, Musannah and Sohar for the Final Match. Pakistan Hockey Legends Islahuddin, Hassan Sardar and Rehan Butt, Coaches and players of all 4 National Teams also participated. At the exclusive invitation of the Ambassador, four Pakistani students including 9th Grader Fiza Javed selected into National Women's Cricket squad and Ubaidullah, Adeel and Saqib selected to Oman National U-19 Cricket Team were among the 200 guests who were delighted to experience world renowned traditional Pakistani cuisine showcasing live 'Bar-B-Que', 'Tandoor' and 'Halwa Poori' stations.
