The embassy celebrated Pakistan Day with full zeal and zest. The flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy in the morning of 23rd March 2017. A number of Pakistanis from Rabat, Casablanca and surrounding cities attended the ceremony. Ambassador Nadir Chaudhri raised the flag of Pakistan to the tune of National Anthem and read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister before the audience. In subsequent remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the significant achievements of the country and the programme of current Government for national economic and social development. The Pakistani nationals in Morocco were urged to work with the Embassy for promotion of Pakistan-Morocco trade relations and strive for building Pakistan's soft image in the Kingdom. In the evening, the Embassy organised a diplomatic reception which was attended by the members of diplomatic core in Rabat, Moroccan dignitaries, government officials, media persons and members of Pakistani community. H.E. Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane, Head of Government of the Kingdom of Morocco attended the diplomatic reception as chief guest. The Embassy served the participants delicious Pakistani traditional food. At that occasion, the Ambassador announced to organise 15-days long Pakistani food festival in different cities of Morocco, including Rabat, Marrakech, Casablanca and Tangier, to celebrate Pakistan's National Day
