H.E. Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan has arrived in Oman today for a 4-day bilateral visit at the invitation of H.E. Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoodh Al-Manthri, Chairman State Council and was accorded a warm welcome by H.E. Dr. Manthri & other delegates from the Majlis Daula at the newly inaugurated Muscat Int'l Airport. The Hon'ble Chairman is accompanied with five Senators including Madame Kalsoom Perveen Azam Khan Swati, Federal Minister (for Science and Technology) Maula Bux Chandio, Dilawar Khan & Haji Momin Khan Afridi. Later in the afternoon, the Hon'ble Chairman Senate along with the delegation are invited as special guests to the Military Parade presided over by His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, to mark 48th National Day of Oman. The delegation will be holding formal discussion with Chairmen of Upper & Lower Houses of Oman and are scheduled to be received by His Highness Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tariq Al Said, Personal Representative of His Majesty & Deputy Prime Minister for Int'l Relations & Cooperation Affairs. Both Chairmen are also set to sign the MoU on Parliamentary Cooperation to promote cooperation & exchange of technical expertise between the two Upper Houses. Meeting between the Friendship Groups of the two Parliaments. The Chairman State Council of Oman had undertaken his bilateral visit to Pakistan in January 2017 and was accorded a 'red carpet' welcome when seen together with Participation in National Day Parade of Oman by Pakistani Parliament, a clear & substantive reflection, historical bonds of trust & friendship anchored in 5000 years of exchanges between the two peoples. HE Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan is commemorating the visit with a Diplomatic Reception tonight with presence of Diplomatic Corps, Omani government officials, Civil Society, Business Leaders & Media as well as prominent Pakistani at Pakistan House. The visit comes within the framework of positive bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Pakistan, and the two countries' keenness to strengthen the existing cooperation in several fields, including people's exchanges.
