Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of Air Staff (CAS) of Pakistan, arrived Muscat last evening for a bilateral visit (September 8-10, 2018) at the invitation from Air Vice Marshal Matar bin Ali Al-Obaidani, Chief of Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO). Upon arrival he was greeted by Ambassador of Pakistan HE Ali Javed and Deputy Commander RAFO Commodore Salim bin Khalfan Al-Rahbi, second in RAFO hierarchy. Whereas both Chiefs graced 'Pakistan House' for a dinner hosted by the Ambassador, last evening, 'Guard of Honor' was presented to the CAS upon arrival at RAFO Headquarters. The CAS and CRAFO then convened a bilateral meeting followed with a presentation on RAFO and a field visit. Dinner Banquet shall close today's proceedings. Air Chief Marshall Khan shall depart from the Sultanate tomorrow night after holding substantive engagements with Omani leadership including with His Excellency Minister Responsible for Defense, Chief of Royal Navy of Oman and a visit to National Defence College. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa & Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi have visited the Sultanate in March and July 2018, respectively. Air Marshal Khan's visit thus consolidates the depth and dimension of bilateral relations in their complete spectrum. Separated by a little over 200 nautical miles, Pakistan and Oman are individually and collectively strategically placed countries with 5,000 years of common history, geography and kinship whereas leaderships in both countries have a shared vision for promoting peace, progress and prosperity.
