The Pakistan Embassy in Niamey, Niger, organized a solemn event to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day; reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmiri people's inalienable right to self-determination. The event, attended by representatives of civil society, the Pakistani community, and Embassy officials. The event featured special messages from Pakistan's top leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister. These messages reiterated Pakistan's commitment to the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination. A documentary was screened, shedding light on the historical context and ongoing human rights concerns in Kashmir. In the keynote address of Mr. Nadeem Ahmed, Charge d'Affaires (a.i), he emphasized the imperative of resolving the Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He highlighted the significance of the 1948 UN Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP) resolution, which recognized the Kashmiri people's right to decide their future through a free and impartial plebiscite. The event concluded with a renewed pledge to continue raising awareness and advocating for justice and peace for Kashmir on international platforms. The event served as a powerful reminder of Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the Kashmiri people's struggle for self-determination and freedom.
