Rear Admiral Zaka-ur-Rahman, Director General Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MSA) visiting the Sultanate for a bilateral visit from February 24-27, 2019, and was received by Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al-Ra'eesi, Commander Royal Navy of Oman (Chief of Naval Staff). Welcoming the recent surge in exchanges between Parliamentary, Political and Defense leaderships of both countries, the dignitaries praised mutual cooperation highlighting recently held Pakistan Navy multinational exercises titled 'Aman' (peace), and bilateral Navy Exercises 'Tamar Al Tayyab'. The meeting was attended by Commodore Khamis bin Salem Al-Jabri, Director General, Operations & Plans and Mansour bin Mohammed Al-Kharousi, Chief Maritime Security Center (MSC). DG MSA also visited the MSC where he was received by Chief MSC who accorded a comprehensive briefing on MSC operations, role of 'MSC Coordination Center' and discussed venues of mutual interest including maritime security, search & rescue and protection against hazards on high seas. DG MSA also called on Major General Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General Police & Customs. Both dignitaries discussed formal structures for furthering mutual cooperation in maintaining maritime security including possibility to conclude an MoU between the two Agencies. DG MSA and Col. Eng. Ali Saif Khalfan Muqbali, Commander ROP (Coast Guard), also graced 'Pakistan House' at a Luncheon hosted by the Ambassador of Pakistan HE Ali Javed to mark the conclusion of the vital visit.
