On 4th Feb 2020, H.E. Mr. K. K. Ahsan Wagan, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman called on H.E. Dr. Yahya Mahfoodh Salim Al Manthri, Chairman State Council, Sultanate of Oman. He was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan, Muscat, Oman. He offered his deep condolences on behalf of Pakistani leadership and brotherly people of Pakistan on the sad demise of Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said and also conveyed best wishes from Pakistani Leadership and people of Pakistan to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman. Ambassador Wagan briefed the Chairman State Council about various areas of bilateral cooperation between both the countries and laid great emphasis on promoting economic and commercial ties. He also discussed ways and means to enhance parliamentary cooperation between Pakistan and Oman. Ambassador also highlighted the brutalities of Indian Forces in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and briefed him about Pakistan’s efforts to raise this issue on different world forums. H.E. Dr. Yahya Mahfoodh Al Manthri, extended very warm welcome to newly appointed Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman. He expressed his deep gratitude for Mission’s initiative for organizing the Condolence Ceremony for the Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Chairman State Council greatly appreciated and acknowledged the role played by Pakistan in bringing the Muslim Ummah together and offered his full support in promoting brotherly ties between Pakistan and Oman.
