Today, H.E. Mr. K. K. Ahsan Wagan, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman presented his Credentials to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman. A dignified and elaborate ceremony was held at Al-Alam Palace Muscat, which started with Guard of Honour and Playing of national anthems of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Sultanate of Oman. Ambassador Wagan was granted an audience by Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tarik after presentation of his Credentials, which was attended by Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Diwan of Royal Courts. He conveyed a message of greetings and felicitations on behalf of our leadership and brotherly people of Pakistan to new Omani Sultan on ascending the throne. Ambassador also conveyed deep appreciation and acknowledgement of our leadership for Late Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said in promoting bilateral relations and transforming Sultanate of Oman into a modern, vibrant and developed State. He also offered his deep gratitude for Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said and new Sultan His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for their benevolent role for allowing more than 250,000 Pakistanis, who have been significantly contributing for progress and development of two brotherly countries. In the end, His Majesty, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik conveyed a message of greetings and goodwill for Pakistani leadership, Government and brotherly people of Pakistan. His Majesty also thanked Pakistani leadership for offering condolences on the sad demise of Late Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. His Majesty greatly appreciated Pakistan’s role in the region and Muslim world and wished for further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
